So how does nutrition have anything to do with lower back pain?

Think of food as fuel for your body. Fuel that is full of information. This information directs your body in the direction of the caliber of the food. What I mean is, if your nutrition consists of clean meat and organic vegetables you are telling your body to be healthy.

That your ok and the support of the yummy good for you foods will help you through your day to day. On the other hand, if you are cramming down fast food and sodas every day you are basically telling your body that you do not care, and this keeps your body in constant fight or flight.

Fight or flight is basically a physical reaction that occurs to a perceived harmful event, attack, or a threat to survival. (Wiki) Unclean food is very toxic to your body. Present day empty carbohydrates (whole grains, starches, etc) are horrible for you, especially your joints.

The above food causes so much inflammation alone to keep you in constant pain. Excessive sugar intake is also been known to cause lower back and hip pain.

So how do you prevent or get rid of lower back pain?

Change your nutrition to a more ketogenic approach

Lower your empty carbohydrate intake

Stop eating processed foods

Stop eating fast food

Limit sugar intake

Avoid excessive alcohol use

Quit smoking

Exercise

Strengthen your core

If you do have a sedentary job set an alarm to get up and move every 30 minutes

Take the stairs in stead of the elevator

Yoga
